Data Deletion Policy

This policy explains how users and businesses can request deletion of data held by Truee.

Effective date: July 18, 2026

1. Overview

Truee Inc. (“Truee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your right to request deletion of personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how account holders, business profile owners, API users, and visitors can ask us to delete data associated with their use of the Truee platform.

This policy applies to data processed through usetruee.com, api.usetruee.com, pub.usetruee.com, and related Truee services. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. What Can Be Deleted

Depending on your relationship with Truee, you may request deletion of:

  • Your Truee user account and login profile.
  • Personal information connected to your account, such as your name and email address.
  • Business profiles, branches, media, products, services, announcements, and other content you control.
  • Support messages and communications where retention is no longer required.
  • Social login data received from providers such as Google, where applicable.
If you manage a public business profile, deleting the profile removes it from active publication and Truee distribution systems. Copies already cached by search engines, AI systems, or third parties may take additional time to disappear and may be governed by those third parties' own deletion processes.

3. How to Request Deletion

3.1 From Your Account

If deletion controls are available in your dashboard, you may delete business data, profile content, or account-related records directly from the relevant settings screen.

3.2 By Email

You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@usetruee.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:

  • The email address connected to your Truee account.
  • The business name, profile URL, or account identifier involved, if applicable.
  • A clear description of the data you want deleted.
  • Whether you want to delete only specific data or close the entire account.

4. Verification

To protect accounts and business profiles from unauthorised deletion, we may ask you to verify your identity or your authority to act for the business before processing a deletion request. Verification may include confirming access to the account email, providing business ownership evidence, or completing another reasonable security check.

We will only request information necessary to verify the deletion request and protect the account or business profile.

5. Deletion Timeline

We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law, security review, or technical constraints.

Backup copies and system logs may persist for a limited period after active deletion. These copies are isolated from normal platform use and are deleted or overwritten during standard backup retention cycles.

6. Data We May Retain

Some data may be retained after a deletion request where necessary and legally allowed, including:

  • Billing, invoice, tax, and accounting records.
  • Security logs needed to detect abuse, fraud, unauthorised access, or platform misuse.
  • Records required to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or regulatory requests.
  • Records needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the rights of Truee, users, or the public.
  • Aggregated or deidentified data that can no longer reasonably identify you.

Where we retain data for these reasons, we limit access and use it only for the purpose that requires retention.

7. Third Parties

Truee may use third-party processors for hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics, and related operations. When we delete your data from active Truee systems, we will also take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise the relevant data held by processors where required and where we control the data.

Data that you or your business made public, or data copied by external search engines, AI systems, archives, or other third parties, may need to be removed by contacting those services directly.

8. Social Login Data

If you used a third-party login provider, such as Google, Truee may receive basic account information from that provider, such as your name, email address, and profile image. You may request deletion of this data by emailing privacy@usetruee.com.

You may also revoke Truee's access from the third-party provider's own account security settings. Revoking access at the provider may stop future data sharing, but you should still contact Truee if you want data already held by Truee deleted.
